For those that don’t know them, BMC are a relatively young, but hugely successful premium bike brand from Switzerland. Originating in 1994, BMC quickly established themselves as a producer of world tour quality road bikes. Cadel Evans won the Tour de France on a BMC in 2011. Philippe Gilbert won the UCI World Champs on a BMC the following year. Greg Van Avermaet won Paris Roubaix and the Rio Olympics Road Race on a BMC. This year World Tour team AG2R Citroen will be riding BMC in all their races.
BMC added the very impressive URS gravel bikes to their fleet in 2019 and it isn’t hard to see why these have proved so popular.
The SRAM RIVAL AXS Groupset was launched last year and more and more bikes are arriving equipped with this superb groupset. It combines the accuracy of electronic shifting with the large range of gears offered by the SRAM 12 speed groupsets at a price which is very palatable compared with any other current electronic set up.
We are delighted that the BMC brand manager will be joining us on Saturday the 9th April in our Orme Store, Llandudno (110 Mostyn Street, LL30 2SW) with a fleet of BMC’s to testride on the day. You will have access to test the Teammachine SLR Four, The Timemachine Road 01 Three, and the Roadmachine Four. All of these bikes will have the new SRAM RIVAL AXS Electronic 12 speed groupsets on them. We will also have a size run of Unrestricted gravel bikes available to try.
This is a perfect opportunity to get a good feel for the BMC bikes, and the SRAM Rival groupset, whilst chatting to representatives from the brand. After the ride, settle down with a free coffee from Providero and find out anymore you need to know about the bikes or the groupset.
Based out of the Orme store gives us the perfect access to the road around the Orme, and up the zig zags if you are up for it. Fancy a second lap? Not a problem. Want to try two different bikes back to back? No worries at all. Rides will be leaving the store from 9am until about 3pm. Although you are welcome to just turn up on the day and wait for the next group to depart, if there is a particular bike you are interested in trying then please contact the store via to book it to avoid disappointment.
